Youth protection & age verification

We comply with Swiss youth protection regulations. These stipulate that:

• fermented alcoholic beverages (e.g. honey beer, mead) may only be sold to persons aged 16 or older

• alcoholic beverages based on distilled spirits may only be sold to persons aged 18 or older

For this reason, we do not deliver:

• Honey beer or mead to persons under 16 years of age

• Spirits or spirit-based beverages to persons under 18 years of age

What measures do we take to verify age?

To reliably comply with youth protection requirements, the following rules apply:

• When creating a customer account, the date of birth must be actively confirmed (mandatory field).

• For orders containing alcoholic beverages, the name on the customer account must match the delivery address.

• Guest checkouts are not permitted for alcoholic products.

One-time ID-based age verification

In addition, we require a one-time age verification when ordering alcoholic beverages for the first time:

• After placing your order, we will ask you to provide proof of age (photo of ID card, driver’s licence, or passport). Please send a copy of your ID to info@imkerei.ch

• The document is used exclusively for age verification purposes.

• We only store the note “Age verification completed” in your customer account.

• The submitted ID document is deleted immediately after verification and is not stored.

For future orders, no additional ID is required as long as your customer account exists.
If you delete your customer account, age verification will be required again for any new order.
